SUMMARY:Joris/Peyrafitte POG Reading\, Tucson\, Arizona
DESCRIPTION:Pierre Joris & Nicole Peyrafitte will weave & braid their individual & shared travails. \nDomopoetics is the name Joris & Peyrafitte give to 34 years of daily practices in transforming & intertwining their lives & works\, be it through writing\, painting\, video\, physical conditioning\, cooking & all other shared household activities. \nKarstic refers to the geological phenomena of dissolution & transformation at work in the formation of superficial or underground limestone topographies. Here it is taken literally & figuratively as nature & cave explorations are an important part of their process.

SUMMARY:Sympoiesis & Conviviality at Mildred’s Lane
DESCRIPTION:I am delighted to be part of The Land Stewardship & Skill Share a week of workshops at Mildred’s Lane.\nThe session runs from June 7-14\nSYMPOESIS & CONVIVIALITY will be on Thursday June 12:\nNicole Peyrafitte will guide participants through a “walk-shop” (walking workshop) to engage in conviviality (living-with) and sympoiesis (making-with\, or becoming-with) the rich multispecies environment at Mildred’s Lane. Silent walking and listening will be interspersed with adaptive expercises that shift our expectations about how we move through and engage with a site\, from experimental movement to making music. The walk will yield surprising perceptions both for those who (think they) know Mildred’s Lane well\, and for those – like Nicole – who have never visited before! \nAfter the “walk-shop\,” Nicole will make crêpes for a lunchtime “cook-shop\,” teaching us the history and technique of this traditional French food\, which is affordable to make\, adaptable to a variety of diets\, and easily inflected by readily-available fillings and toppings — in this case\, farm-fresh produce\, dairy\, and foraged herbs and fungi.

SUMMARY:Anthology Film Archives Screening : Things Fall Where They Lie
DESCRIPTION:CULTURE VULTURE: STEVE DALACHINSKY ON SCREEN \nat Anthology Film Archives\nSeptember 29 – October 31 \npremieres \nTHINGS FALL WHERE THEY LIE\na film by Nicole Peyrafitte\n(ONLINE EVENT)\nThis is a bitter sweet event. Our dear friend Steve Dalachinsky transitioned a year ago & Steve & Yuko Otomo are 2 of the major protagonists of the film — a magic week we had during the shoot in my Pyrenean hometown. Anthology film archives was Steve’s Annex and having the film NYC-premiered there makes total sense since he still inhabits the place\, and since it is a virtual screening he will certainly attend!  So please join in the screening of Things Fall Where They Lie with is part of program 3. But there is a collection of appearances in film and video works by a wide range of filmmakers. Encompassing documentation of Steve’s own performances and readings\, short works starring Steve\, as well as his guest-appearances and cameos in fiction films and music videos\, this series is intended to celebrate Steve’s life and spirit\, and to thank him for his untiring dedication to the cinema and to the creative life of New York City and avant-garde culture everywhere.
