Ethan Bach
Experimental Videos

"I create digital art in order to share my personal experiences and my political views. I have a fascination with telling my own personal stories, and other's, by using both still and moving images. Like the subjects of my work, the techniques I use to achieve these pieces are reflective of my own personal journey. In fusing various techniques such as reflective documentary, pop, consumer art and contemporary Native American art, my work provokes feelings and contemplation from the viewers. This body of work is about returning to what I consider to be the untainted creations of my first works. It is about taking more risks and authentically experimenting with the tools that I have access to. I am attempting to create layers of meaning within my work that allow the viewer to understand and feel the story I am telling. I feel that not only am I challenging the viewer to experience this, but I am also challenging myself in sharing my experiences and beliefs.
