Monarch and Eel at Home The Brothers Matulis
The Brothers Matulis have one children's musical, two short films, several horse-shoe titles, a waterslide, seven rock bands, an ark, an octo-possum, a planetarium and a handsome sports card collection to their credit. They share a jaw, nose, vocal cadence and some dance moves, though they have very different brains. The Matulis' grew up between a hill and a stream in rural East Schodack, NY. The hill was covered with Monarch butterflies, at times--the stream was filled with eels.
art byWhiskey Sour “Holy Drag” Carmie Hope, Frieda Muchon and Whiskey Sour have been performing together since 2001.Back in those days Whiskey was performing as Patti Kettleton, her comic strip character. Frieda and Carmie were singing in the capital pride Singers chorus as well as in a vocal the group "Oh, Those Girls!". While you can catch Carmie Hope hosting a karaoke event at least two times a week at Billy Jack's on central ave. In Albany and sometimes at other locations, she often likes to appear with her sisters in drag in their own shows together. "We all approach drag differently and are supportive of one another's creativity. When Frieda wanted to start an annual Easter parade in Albany, Whiskey and Carmie were there to help make it happen" says their press release. "Whenever Whiskey gets a gig at a new place or an Exiting opportunity comes her way she always thinks of Frieda and Carmie first". Recently Carmie came up with the idea to have a alternating Talent Tuesday at Billy Jack's. You can catch Frieda there every second Tuesday of the month at 8:30 pm. Whiskey Sour has been haunting the first Friday arts event in center square, Albany's hip artistic neighborhood. You can also catch her on the 5 th Tuesday of the month at Billy Jack's, provided there is one. Occasionally Carmie, Frieda and Whiskey perform at Franklin's Tower on Broadway in Albany. They love Working with Tess and everyone at the Lark Tavern and are looking forward to doing more shows and projects there.
